Climate Week NYC welcomes top partners to the 2024 program

June 17, 2024 2 min read

It’s Time to speed up. Climate Week NYC is back for its sixteenth year to unite global leaders, innovators, decision takers and changemakers. At the biggest climate event of its kind, they’ll share solutions and drive innovation to deliver the action we need, now, not later. This year’s theme: It’s Time. It’s all about taking immediate climate action.

Climate Week NYC saw a record number of events in 2023, and this year we’re bringing together businesses, governments, and civil society to make this edition the biggest one yet.

All of this couldn’t happen without the support of our partners. Once more, we’re proud and excited to be working with organizations that are driving climate action at the intersection between sustainability and business.

Organizations like PwC, Saint-Gobain, and Hitachi. Without them, Climate Week NYC simply would not be the event it is today, in scale and capacity.

Together with our partners, we’ll run flagship sessions, breakouts, round tables, fireside chats and closed-door events to ignite progress and show what can be achieved if you bring the right people and organizations together.

To highlight our partnerships and celebrate climate action, we asked our partners what it means to be part of Climate Week NYC. Here are some of their thoughts:

“Climate change is a risk that is right here. It needs to be solved today to achieve the Paris goals. Every business, every community, every city, every country needs to work together to make climate action count. That’s why we are honored to be the Headline Partner of Climate Week NYC. We want to play our part in driving the climate action the world needs, at speed and at scale.”

-Will Jackson-Moore, Global Sustainability Leader, PwC UK

“The construction sector is responsible for a staggering 37% of global CO2 emissions. Only by mobilizing everyone can we successfully transition to sustainable construction and safeguard both people and the environment. Climate Week NYC provides a unique opportunity to engage with all relevant stakeholders, drive meaningful exchanges, and help shape the debate.”

-Benoit Bazin, Chairman and CEO, Saint-Gobain

“Climate Week NYC underscores Hitachi's commitment as a climate change innovator. We advocate for collective responsibility and immediate action to combat climate change. Our focus is on respecting planetary boundaries and improving people’s well-being, with the aim of contributing to sustainable economic growth in every country where we operate. Together, we endeavor to achieve for both people and the planet.”

-Lorena Dellagiovanna, Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer, Hitachi, Ltd.
